Welcome

The Scarsdale Youth Softball Association (“SYSA”) is a volunteer organization with a mission of promoting the sport of youth softball within the Village of Scarsdale. SYSA both provides opportunities for girls to play travel softball and connects and integrates interested Scarsdale softball players into softball leagues, programs and tournaments throughout Westchester and surrounding counties throughout the year. SYSA programs emphasize developing player skills and their understanding of the game.

SYSA offers the following programs:

Travel Teams

Teams compete against other town travel teams throughout Westchester County for girls 4th to 11th grades. Teams play in the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. All girls in the 4th and 5th grades are required to play Recreation Softball or Little League in order to be on a SYSA team in the spring. All 6th grade girls are strongly encouraged to play Recreation Softball or Little League Baseball.

Tournament Teams

Teams compete in two to three day tournaments against teams from the tri-state area during weekends. Tournament teams are selected through a tryout process and are for girls in 4th to 11th grade. Teams play in the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.

Clinics

Clinics are offered year round to develop individual skills and teach softball fundamentals for girls in the 3rd grade. Participants in Spring clinics are required to also play Recreation Softball.

Specific programming for each season may vary, depending on the numbers and interest from the community. Please click here to see the specific programs being offered. SYSA programs are open to residents of the Scarsdale Public School District, or those who attend school full-time in the Village of Scarsdale (IHM or Scarsdale Public Schools)
